Art Exhibit at Justice Commons

The International Justice Center hasopened in Second Life.
Last Thursday March 18th 2008 at noon, SLT, Global Kids launched the International Justice Center in Second Life. Luis Moreno-Ocampo, the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) spoke at noon. He was followed by a panel discussion about “The Emerging International Justice System”.

Panelists included Lousie Arbour,United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Francis Deng, United Nations Special Advisor for Prevention of Genocide, Juan E. Mendez, President of the International Center for Transitional Justice. Allan Rock, Former Canadian Ambassador to the United Nations, and Kenneth Roth, Executive Director of Human Rights Watch.

Later in the day, Kofi Annan, former United Nations Secretary General, will provided a keynote speech from The Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, New York, NY which was streamed into Second Life.
